Keturah is considering taking on Micronesia a second time. An intense trip that will require some months to complete and several thousand miles of sailing in order to reach some of the remotest atolls in the Pacific. For the project to be viable I will need at least two very committed crew with an open schedule, say about from October/Nov. '08 to Apr./June '09. Please read the website for more details plus videos of the last trip in Micronesia.

Seeking 2-3 crew, if you can contribute in whatever manner that is advantageous (cook, donate fuel money etc)
We plan to stop at these points en-route to Bali or Darwin:
Abrholos, Steep Point/Dirk Hartog, Exmouth Muiron Islands, Serrurier Islands, Montebellos, Rowley Shoals, Lacepedes, Ashmore and Carter reefs, Kimberley coastal cruising.
Departing early September 2008
Interested? Please write me with:
1. Full personal details
2. Picture of your self
3. Travel experience and boating bckground
Note this is a cruiser, not a sailer, it is signifcantly more comfortable to run and live on than a sail boat |

Hello,
We're a couple from the UK (aged 44 and 35) who have so far made it to Australia from the UK without flying, including a 10 day voyage on a cargo vessel. We really want to continue our travels to New Zealand in December. We're not ready to give up on our mission by buying a plane ticket just yet!
We don't really have any sailing experience but we are willing to learn and work hard and/or pay our way.
Any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated. We know it's a bit of a long shot!

Hi all,
I am attempting to cycle from Brisbane to Copenhagen, leaving at the start of August 2008 and hopefully arriving in Copenhagen in Dec 2009. I am doing this to raise money for and awareness of the issues facing the communities throughout South East Asia, the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East, due to the impacts of climate change and environmental destruction. I will be collecting signatures for a petition demanding changes in international environmental policy that I will deliver to the UN Convention on Climate Change in Copenhagen. I will also be making a documentary of my journey and the impacts of climate change and environmental destruction on the communities and environments through which I travel.
I will be arriving in Darwin in late Sept, early October 08 and hope to get a crew member position, on a yacht, freighter, whatever, to Indo. I will work for free if necessary and only ask that I have a space to put my bike. I can pull it apart a make it small. I'm young and fit and a quick learner, plus I don't mind doing crappy jobs.
If anyone needs crew at about that time and is heading to Indo, or would like to help out the cause, please let me know. You can call me on 0420 887 618 or email me.
Thanks,
Kim

Hi, my name is Anna, I am a 28 yr old yoga and pilates instructor slowly travelling the world. I am looking to travel from NZ to Oz and would love the opportunity to crew. I have no experience, but learn very quickly and am incredibly dedicated and motivated. Could also teach yoga and pilates at sea ;)
Ideally, I'd like to travel around mid-May, and would like to get to Sydney, but am quite flexible in destination.
Please send me an email if I can be of any help to you!

| Crewing position wanted : nz to aus |

Hi all
I am 27 yr old male looking for a crewing position to Australia both as a means of getting there and to gain experience in open water sailing to crew on further passages around the world.
I am not an experienced sailor but nor am I a complete beginner. I have played around on small sailboats at times, been on a couple of commercial fishing trips and have spent a week on a large sail training ship in my youth!
As I’ve been working as a field ecologist in New Zealand for the last 5 years I am also experienced in spending long periods of time in remote locations with small groups of people and working through all sorts of weather.
I get on well with a wide range of people, am easy going, reliable, a fast learner and half decent cook and breadmaker.
I’m into rock climbing, sea kayaking, natural history and growing\hunter gathering food.
I recently decided it was a good time in my life to do some longterm traveling and exploring before beginning the process of 'settling', in other words no wife, kids or mortgage tying me down!
I would like to avoid flying if possilbe on my travels, partly to avoid the environmental impact and surreal aspects of flying places but mostly for the challenge and to try and get a better perspective on the scale of this earth by travelling overland and by sea.
I’m currently in the Auckland region and am able to crew at short notice.
Feel free to contact me with any queries.
Cheers

Two Aussie guys looking to get to New Zealand by sail.
In short if you’re sailing for NZ, why not make it profitable and take a couple of shipmates that wouldn’t mind paying for the experience.

Hi I’m in my early 40’s and looking to travel to Europe and wouldn’t mind doing it by sea, although I have no ocean going experience, I have owned a boat.
I used it for fishing mainly and cruising Sydney Harbour and the surrounding water ways, plus have fished onboard several of my friend’s boats.
I’m pretty easy going enjoying a good laugh, a Pisces which is probably the reason I enjoy the water and fishing so much and like to keep my work and living space clean and tidy; ok I lie more tidy than clean, because you can clean up when it needs it but you need to be tidy every day!
I’m a carpenter by trade and have also worked as a metal fabricator and in maintenance, I’m able to fix near anything with the right gear!
So if you’re leaving the south pacific for the northern hemisphere and have room for a ship mate who is will to contribute to running cost within reason, please feel free to drop me a line
Cheers Franco |

Hi, i am an English guy who loves to travel and currently have a free summer where i am available to work immediatly. As yet I have no on-board experience , however i am very keen and feel i am worthy for employment as i would be able to learn to suit my employers personal requirements (with a clean sheet so to speak). I love to travel and often feel more relaxed amongst other ethnic communities than in my own background. I live in the Plymouth ( SouthWest U.K) where im currently taking a year out of a biology degree. I am seeking work on yachts/cruise ships or any similar position. I am a hard commited worker and enjoy a good days work as well as working in customer service/relations. I have experience in the catering industry and have also ran my own plastering company. I am reasonably well educated, have good social manners and am a very good learner. I am often remarked to have an exellent ability to negotiate. I am fit and am able to teach Tai Chi, further i am well trained in the harder self defence style of Jujitsu. I am very eager to find employmet in this field and believe i would make an ideal multi skilled on-board worker. (jamegumm@msn.com) |
