Marina Association of Australia (MAA) Training

Opportunities are available through The Marina Association of Australia to assist in the professional development of marina staff. Upcoming marina management courses include.

Introductory Marina Management which is a 1-day introduction to the marina industry for those who have recently commenced their careers or wish to broaden their skill capacities of marinas, meet and share ideas and learn the basics of marina management.

Intermediate Marina Management is a 5 day residential course designed for those with at least one year of experience in a leadership position in a marina who wish to enhance management skills, share ideas, and learn the fundamentals of all aspects of marina management.

Advanced Marina Management is a 6 day residential course and is designed for those with at least three years experience as a Senior Marina Manager. The most important benefit from attending this course is the exposure to new ways of dealing with future industry issues and challenges, and learning about policies and practices that have been successful in other regions of the world.

Straddle Carrier Course, which is a 1 day intensive course, which will explore in depth the operations of a straddle carrier, including maintenance, operational procedures, safety and OH&S procedures.
